Downlights are one of the most popular design elements in homes today but builders and renovators need to be aware that extra care should to be taken when installing roof insulation around light fixtures to avoid fire hazards.
Dowlight covers perform a safety function along with adding a style touch to your downlight LED or halogen lights. Halogen lights emit a large amount heat increasing the risk of fire. The downlight covers help in dissipating the heat emitted from the halogens by giving them space to do so. They are very easy to install and are available in the market mostly as do it yourself kits. However care needs to be taken as most installations will have to be done with you looking up into the covers increasing the risk of accidents.
